I started pursuing my career as a hairstylist in 2010 after dropping out of nursing school. I had always had a passion for hair, but it didn’t click until I started working as a CNA at a long-term care facility. The residents there were always SO happy whenever they got their hair done, and I loved seeing how much it made their day. Nursing appealed to me because I wanted to care for and make meaningful connections with people, and that experience showed me that it was totally possible with being a hairstylist as well.
With that said, I pride myself on being about more than just hair. I truly want to get to know you! Your personality, lifestyle, and personal style are all things I take into account for your custom hair plan. All of my work is customized just for you. I have prioritized my education throughout my career, and I’ve attended intensive courses in NYC and in Ireland. My specialties are balayage and blonding. I love creating natural, lived-in looks that look like your hair but better.
I was born in Connecticut and I moved to Raleigh in 2002, so I’d say that’s pretty close to being a Raleigh native these days! In 2017, my husband and I moved to Dublin, Ireland for one year. It was an incredible experience. We got to travel around Europe and I worked at an amazing salon with incredibly talented stylists. Traveling is my favorite thing to do, and I can’t wait to visit more places once it’s possible again. When I’m not in my studio, I enjoy cooking, working out, watching shows on Bravo, and snuggling with my cat Tifa.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable and at home in my studio. I am very proud to offer a private space to my guests. It is just you and me, for your entire appointment. If you’ve ever felt intimidated or overwhelmed by going into a salon, I am your girl. This is your time to relax and leave the stresses of the world at the door!
